On this day

Come and sit
I insist,
all today with common ground
at this table
feast abound,
pilgrims genesis
our delight,
with gratitude,
celestial latitude,
in one accord
our hearts we bind,
before creator
humbly bow,
then to your right
and to your left
embrace your neighbor,
embrace a friend,
Amen;
Now pass me a piece
of pumpkin pie.

Potty training

Barely three
Small and sweet,
Today he discovered
The toilet seat
And for every visit
A victory,
Gimme five
He demands.
I hope soon he’ll learn
To wash his hands.

Finches

Chirping;
Colored feathered
flying fancy,
ground prancing,
tree dancing,
devouring fruits
plump and juicy.

Please be beautiful
in my neighbors tree.

Color

A fathers pride in his children is inherent, but when his child follows in his footsteps; Speechless. Here is a poem by Christian.

Color is everywhere
From old TV shows
To any rainbow in the sky
Color is everywhere

You can see color
On the ants
Some are red
Some are black

You can see color
On the people
Red and yellow
Black and white

Color is everywhere

No matter what your favorite color
Blue
Red
Yellow
Green
Purple
Pink
On a flag
Or on your shirt
Color is everywhere

As you’re eating that apple
Applying mascara
Mixing chemicals
Or even cutting wood with a power saw
Color is everywhere

Although you may not notice
A million different colors
From the brightest to the dullest
From the lightest to the darkest

Color is everywhere
And I'm so glad it is.
